Q. What is up with the comments?<\/p>\n
A. I’ve apparently gotten on some kind spam ring for some reason. I was getting tired of getting all excited about 12 new comments and finding them all to be spam, especially since some of them had a few nice bits mixed in with all the website pushes.<\/p>\n
So I’ve decided to edit out all websites and links, some of the emails, and any names that are just the thing they’re selling. I.e. “Cheap Louis Vuitton” or “lista de email” or even “cheap embroidery patterns.” Any names that are not obviously selling something can stay, as well as realistic-looking email addresses, even if they are preposterous such as “Canadian Goose Parkas.”<\/p>\n
I’m leaving the text exactly as I find it, beyond removing any links. I’m not changing the grammar, the punctuation, or removing\/adding anything else at all. (Except maybe adding one or two spaces for clarity; I couldn’t help myself.)<\/p>\n
Anything that is repeated word for word, I okay the first one and then delete everything after that, unless it’s something generic like “great post” or something. There are seriously some terrible scripts out there for spammers to copy-paste, and I can’t believe I get some of this garbage once, let alone twice and more.<\/p>\n
I’m going to respond to everything as if it were specifically intended by the commenter to go with whatever post they randomly tacked it to.<\/p>\n
If someone real responds to my blog, I’m not going to delete your website; if you comment, check back, and find your website deleted, then I mistook you for spam; I didn’t intend anything insulting by it–you’re just swimming in a sea of it. I also won’t be so facetious to you in responding.<\/p>\n
